Mushrif points out that in the past there had been incidents of Hindu hardliners indulging in violence. His book documents 27 incidents of violence against people for speaking against Hindutvawadis. In the same book, 138 cases of violence against activists and writers are referred. There are points of resemblance between these two sets of incidents, such as that of people who were against a movement/individual who were killed. The Shiv Sena had threatened to follow the example of the Dadri Gang of 1991, which killed Akram Sheikh, who had visited Jallalpur to meet milkmen on 23 March 1991 against the practice of buying milk from Muslims and selling the milk to Hindus.
Mushrif's book also presents a dubiously valid reason for the failure of ATS chief Hemant Karkare to solve the Malegaon twin blasts case. He points that the original charge against Swami Aseemanand, arrested in the case, was only one of "insulting". According to Mushrif, Karkare thought that Aseemanand was not serious in committing a crime and was only posturing. Karkare also was oblivious of the fact that Aseemanand had a criminal background. All this was pointed out to him by his own HCL college mate Sharad Shivdasani of NCB The investigation was frustrated, he points out, because of Karkare's unwillingness to realise that Aseemanand's conspiracy was also backed by the Hindutva brigade. He concludes that "other reports say that in the previous Karkare-led ATS, many very high profile cases were investigated but in no case was any Hindutva terrorist name mentioned. The book also reveals that in one case just to justify the murder of one person, Karkare has effectively produced a false charge sheet against him.
Mushrif's book also throws light on how the Hindutva brigade is backed by an influential section of trade union leaders. They are the "political wing" of trade unions, which also have links to Mumbai Muslim's community.
20 million as a whole will generate more revenue than a 10 million selling album. So no selling 20 million in usa is much better. There is reason robbie williams wanted to crack america. Whereas american artists will be still happy with american success. Taylor was local for many years, but made so much money fron usa alone. That share of american market revenue is way huge.. Anyways coldplay cracked America! d2c66b5586
