hi ken, i am a student using smart choice 2 for learning english. i was very confused with the question my mother and i.. ( buy) clothes while my father was getting his hair cut. this question has 3 choices : a. bought, b. had bought, c. was buying. i was wondering if the answer c is right. should we rewrite was buying intowere buying. but when i see the answer key, the answer was the answer a. i saw the exercise from smart choice 2- unit 9 test. could you explain it to me. should i choose a or c. i hope to see your feedback soon. thank you!

i work with our students on the smart choice 2nd edition. as a teacher, i have used the book in class and i have seen my students gain confidence with the book and the activities. i find the activities to be very good. with the exceptions of the new language activities i find that the activities in smart choice 2nd edition are the same as the ones in your first edition. i think your second edition has a lot more activities. i would like to point out one problem i find with the book. a lot of the activities are geared toward younger students. i would like the book to have more activities geared toward upper grades.
dear mr. wilson i have been teaching at dowling college for 5 years and have used smart choice 2nd edition in all of my courses. i love the workbook. i love the way it is organized and love the activities. i love the way the activities are set up, and the way they test students. i love how the student can use the app and practice the reading/vocabulary at their own pace. i have a few suggestions. i would love if the back of the book had a reading/vocab list. my students use the book but they dont really memorize the list. i would like for them to be able to write the words down. i would also love to see a beginner's flash card. i would also love to see more pronunciation activities. i use the dictionary on my smart board and i like that the book has that. however, i would like to see a dictionary with the pronunciation of the words. i also want to see a "quiz" on the page with the pronunciation of the words. i feel that the book is geared for younger students. i am a senior, and i would like the book to have more activities geared towards upper grade levels. the activities are good, but i would like to see more vocabulary/reading activities. i would also like to see a few tests. i have students that are struggling with reading and reading comprehension. i want to see more tests on the reading and vocab. i love the workbook, but i would love to see more activities. thanks! george 3d9ccd7d82
